i read an article about why. i guess people are scared of "tall" kids coming to their door.

I went out well in to my teens. One year I was grounded and my dads house was 2 blocks from mom and I's/ I went as Pebbles and put my hair up in a rawhide bone, took one of those white Malibu rum bottles and glued a nipple to it for my bottle and then we went and rang his doorbell, cause I was a good kid like that. We just wanted candy. We can get in trouble any night. I would tell about the night we pulled up all the mailboxes on one street and exchanged them with mailboxes on another, but that was something the feds told us to never do again, and it didn't happen on Halloween!
