Hey guys, please dont get political here its not allowed, this is just a simple question.
I was just wondering if the tax bill that was just passed, still has us paying the "self-employment tax". This is the tax where we have to pay for social security and medicare twice, since we're considered both employer and employee? I cant find it when I search.

Nobody knows what's in this bill but you can assume yes, especially since they want to get rid of 1099 deductions. But it still has to go back to the house and they may change it. We'll see.

i read somewhere that if you itemize deductions, your taxes will go up, and i think most turkers itemize due to stuff they hae to buy for working at home
