That's how I got most of my animals as a kid :o I thought it was a regular thing, lol. I never really thought about it until just now but I guess that is kind of weird.

It's really common around here. I took a kitten home once but my parents made me give it back.

Before she lost her house my sister in law was a cat lady. Usually 15 to 20 cats in her house. Not fixed. Every so often she'd take a litter to a local park to give them away. We took one which we had for 12 years. I can't even describe the smell in her house. Literally stung your nostrils.

SIL has a sticker on the back of her car that says she's a foster mom for cats so it wasn't entirely weird. Still a little weird though.

Itemizing against the standard deduction is different than 1099 deductions, which is where Turkers fall.
