The recliners are nice, but I dig the reserved seating for sure.

years ago I went to a theater with reserved seating. I didn't see the big deal about that. What was awesome was 21 y.o. and over showings. They only sold beer and wine which I don't drink (It woulda been great to be able to order a Dark n Stormy or even a rum and coke). But being able to watch a flick with no kids around was nice.

I saw District 9 in the theaters and the family next to me brought their kids which were about 10 and 7 years old. I felt really uncomfortable the whole time. Like I wanted to cover his eyes and/or ears

I hear ya. This is going way back but I had a father and son sitting behind me when i saw the South Park movie. I remember cringing a few times thinking about the kid watching that. not that my parents were any better. I saw tons of movies that were too adult for kids.
