That actually sounds fun. I think that 2 adults that make a conscious decision to make a child and raise it rationally, the love between, or lack of, wouldn't matter a bit. As, long as they loved the child and cared for it the way they are supposed to, it may actually be a better environment for the child. Remove all the stressors that can happen between a couple and treat everyone fairly and rationally, the kid would probably grow up to be a great person who understands that sometimes emotions can cause stress or anxiety.

Sorry if this sounds weird. I just like thought experiments and was wondering how that would work out.

:)

Not smoking anything. I just like to think about things and wrap my head around a situation in it's entirety. I just was thinking about how that would work out. That's all. I know that the way I was raised, in a traditional family, didn't really work out. I tried to think about how a non-traditional family would work. I'm sure it wouldn't make sense to older people that have a traditional family, and things worked out pretty well.

There's more than one way to skin a catfish. :)
Well personally I always liked practicing to make babies, more then having them. Those fuckers cost monies and it NEVER stops, even when they leave home

2/10 - You need to work on your pickup game.
Lol. Not trying to pick up some person I've never met, from the internet, that lives in a different state. But, if you can't admit that there may be a a different way to raise a child that may be better or equal then that's okay. You have a different view. :)
I know two families personally where the parents of the kid(s) aren't in a romantic relationship with each other at all but for different reasons, decided to live together and have kids together and be a family unit. Both families are totally awesome and the kids are doing great. :)
That's what I'm saying . That's all. Wasn't trying to be weird.:)

So, Um...errr....Raises hand.

This is how I got my son.

Conscious and deliberate decision between me and the "baby daddy."

The father doesn't raise my son, I'm a single mom by choice. Kid knows his father, relationship is good, but I do the raising.

Totally works out. No drama. It is completely awesome. My kid and I often hang out with his father's parents (pater-grandparents, obvs) and have a great relationship with them!

:eek::eek: Holy tater tots! For once in my life I am truly speechless. Thank you so much my MTC Fam!!

Congrats to two of my fave peeps Peachy @PeachyRider and <Gucci> @<Gucci>! Thank you for keeping this place going.

Thank you to all the nominees and to everyone who helps out here. And to our lovely @Staff who gave us all a home. I was just a baby turker when this forum began. But you took me in and taught me the ropes. I am so grateful to too many people to mention. Wow I never expected to win and was just honored to be amongst such a fine bunch.

Thank you also to my fellow Master Pleaser Kadauchi @Kadauchi for making the transistion to worker much smoother for us as well as to Johnnyrs @Johnnyrs and the other scripters who kindly share their work.

Love you all! :heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

You are so correct! When I decided to do this I did NOT have that much support. However, that was almost 14 years ago and now they all have to admit I WAS RIGHT!!!! lol. I forced them out of their ways, lol.

(The father is one of my ex's. So we did love each other very much at one time, and the kid was made out of love, just not the "we will be life partners and married" type of love.)
