Well how do you "write the comment in first person, as if you had used the solution personally to solve the given problem" if you have never used the product?

I am not saying that I am not giving it my all.

I've contacted them directly to ask about "what if you've never used the product or anything like it", and they're response was to do some resarch (as much as I felt was necessary) and then write a response. It's okay if you've never used the product before. So, yes, technically you are allowed to BS your way through it, as long as it's researched BS.

Instructions from preview window: "You must briefly take a look at each solution, and then write a short review about it (positive or negative) as if you had used the product to solve the matching problem."

I would recommend following them or passing on the HIT. We do not condone "BS'ing" ... at least where HITs are concerned

Reminds me of something I saw on a survey yesterday and that's all I'll say except it seems the requesters are watching us as much as we watch them.

They state, in the instructions, that they aren't looking for a review, to be used on other sites. So, having used the product is not a requirement. Sometimes, you are reviewing things that have never existed in any form that anyone could 'use'.

I think it's a good indicator that we take doing quality work seriously and our community norms cause us to get our hackles up if we think someone's suggesting doing anything else!
