Soooo... Has anyone gotten their tax refund yet?

My husband got his. within like a week. we did it on turbo tax.

People with children or educational tax credits often get refunds.

I didn't make over $400 last year, but I know i'll have to file for this year. I hope my husband lets me file the kid, or i'll have to pay in.

Depends on the year for me. My refunds are usually super small (I had one for 16 bucks) when I get them because of the mix of self employed and W2 work I do.

Matt gets a nice refund this year. Huzzah!

When I worked in restaurants I got a refund every year. Then I worked nonprofits and broke even every year. Past two years as mostly a freelancer I have to pay.

Usually because of my student loans. He doesn't feel like he should have to pay on them..he does but he gets cranky.
When we file separately it's just based off my income. Not his.

Edit: Mturk money is used to pay on them.

I got a w2 but somehow the amount I made on turk/other side stuff, even though it was less than half of my w2, destroyed my refund and now I owe 1k more
