until I was 11 or 12 I had this nervous reaction to people getting hurt...I'd bust out laughing. I couldn't control it, and I definitely didn't think people getting hurt was funny. Once my sister and I had been in the pool and we were running inside through the garage (which had a slick concrete floor). She slipped and slid under the deck of the riding mower. Got a 7 inch cut on her leg...and I'm crying and laughing simultaneously. I still feel bad about it

They've basically indirectly said that's how it works. Do high quality work for a variety of requesters and it's monitored and if they see consistent patterns of high quality responses over time, then they award it.

What other parameters might they use aside from rejection rate?
