not really anybodies fault but the food industries, they make this shit sooo tasty people can't help themselves and get addicted. I don't eat 100% healthy stuff, but I do closely monitor the amount calories and types of food I eat

I think this is kind of a dangerous mindset, taking power away from the individual and giving it to the "food industry," sounds a lot like self-victimization.

The fast food we have here has expanded to several other countries and yet they haven't really seen a significant uptick with obesity problems. IMO it's more of a cultural/environmental problem with the way people think about food, and can be improved upon.

i remember i got a spicy meal thing (forgot what it was) but i accidentally ate a whole pepper that was in the meal. panda express does not play around with spicy and i respect that

The loss of manual labor over the last 30 - 40 years hasn't helped as well, people really do need to exercise more.
Portion sizes hurt as well, you go to a restaurant in Europe and the portions are a shitload smaller then here

I never do. We were out yesterday shopping, so we stopped at a Trader Joe's and got a quinoa salad and added that to a loaf of french bread. That was our 'fast food' lunch.
It cost about 8.00 - though we did get those bad for you peanut butter pretzels. (They were so good!)

This x10. It is becoming a problem throughout the world. Look at tobacco ads from 30 years ago and compare them to the fast food ads of today--very similar. Candy companies and fast food targeting children in a very explicit manner; tobacco companies did the same thing. There are ads with Santa smoking.
