This x10. It is becoming a problem throughout the world. Look at tobacco ads from 30 years ago and compare them to the fast food ads of today--very similar. Candy companies and fast food targeting children in a very explicit manner; tobacco companies did the same thing. There are ads with Santa smoking.

I eat wawa breakfast burritos a couple times a week for emotional reasons But I try to stay away.

omg when i moved away from Virginia i didn't realize how much i would miss Wawa. we only have sheetz around here and they suck

I can get a car now but I don't have my license and my parent's car bit the dust yesterday and they can't afford one so now they also don't have a car, which means I don't have a way to learn how to parallel park/take the driving test. so I guess I'm just gonna walk everywhere for the rest of my life

Move to Florida. I took the driving test while living in the panhandle a couple years ago and was not asked to parallel park.

(Of course then the very next thing you'll want to do is start planning your move somewhere else. Just saying, it's an easy place to get your license)

The loss of manual labor over the last 30 - 40 years hasn't helped as well, people really do need to exercise more.
Portion sizes hurt as well, you go to a restaurant in Europe and the portions are a shitload smaller then here

there is a reason that Altria spun off Philip Morris International as a separate company, so they could have their international cigarette profits separate and insulated from their declining domestic cigarette profits

Actually, exercise/gym memberships have increased dramatically. As has the amount of sugar in foods. Science has definitively shown that exercise isn't the problem--it's the food.

Yup. I bought stock into PM when it spun off. Did very well for me.
