Like I said,the dude at the Orange County Tax Office where you get your license just took one look at my son's license and said there was no way a Kansas Driving Test was a rigorous as Florida. He even made a comment "Do you even have to break in Kansas? There's like no traffic there."
That was actually less gross than the squashed armadillos that would be by the side of the road all the time, if a lot scarier...
I asked a dentist about it recently and they said it was a very popular thing for dentists to do in the era when I was a pre-teen. They do it less often now.

I've luckily never stepped on a fire ant. Have stepped into a nest of regular ants, which also bite. that was fun.
I am not there any more, praise Jeebus. In WA (don't move here either, the decent parts of the state are way too expensive) working on moving to the Midwest pretty much entirely because of COL. Whee!

I have to retake the written portion in California, because apparently driving for 11 years isn't good enough to transfer my license.
