Real quick, while we're on this topic. The other day we had to go out of town for a couple of hours. I had a Panda on HAM in PC for Zoltars, and nothing else in PC. I blanked and forgot to turn of PC, in addition to my computer itself when we left.

We get on the road, and I'm board because I usually drive, and can't for the foreseeable future. I logged onto Mturk with my phone, and saw a queue full of Z's. I started working on them, and over the few hours we were gone, I completed about 80 Z's on my phone, while PC was catching them on my laptop from home.

Think this would be an issue? TL/DR- accidentally left my home computer with PC running with Zoltars on HAM, and using my phone while away from home I worked on the ~80 HITs that it caught.

I am so frustrated.

I was working on the $5 Peterson Lab on Monday, the one with the long bubble survey before Inquisit, and when I came to the Inquisit download I could not get it to download (I had installed and uninstalled earlier that morning without restarting which may have been the problem)
Emailed requester and by the time they got back to me the HIT had expired. They said they would compensate me anyway but now they won't respond to my emails.

Does this happen often?
Is my only option to write a TO?

Sorry that you had that experience Outside of emailing the requester again to inquire about the compensation, there is not much you can do. You can leave a truthful TO, but make sure that your ratings accurately reflect the HIT (fair, fast, pay, comm). It seems in this instance communication can be reflected since the requester hasn't responded again. You won't be able to mark the other areas as you did not complete the HIT.

I just leave Inquisit installed ... for the rare occasion I need it.
