If someone really, really wants to make it but can't stay up that late, we usually don't have a problem letting them make it early. We just keep it locked until midnight.

Sounds okay to me. Haven't done it but, I'm guessing ~40min with some of it watching vids or reading. Same as most anything here. Plus, it sounds pretty awesome if there isn't much work.:)

They are calling the HIT a "class" only because you have to learn something. The whole HIT will take <50 minutes. It's, literally, no different than a "study" or a "survey". :)

If you don't do a lot of ~50 min HITs, it could be scary, I guess. But, it's not a "classroom" setting, if that's what you are thinking. The learning is self directed, like most studies. :D
