Yes I did. I would make myself fall asleep on my side, but a lot of nights I would end up on my back. It was truly one of the most terrifying things I had ever experienced, and the bad thing was I never knew going to bed when it would happen.did you sleep on your back when it happened i hear its more common for back sleepers?
Just got here. I noticed it would happen to me when I slept on my back. My assumption was it was caused by bad blood circulation due to having my arms crossed over my chest. I know that when I would come out of it I would panic because I'd lost sensation in my arms. Hasn't happened in years and years because I never sleep on my back anymore.Yes I did. Man, i'm about to go to sleep too. What if I get it tonight? Who will save me?Yes I did. I would make myself fall asleep on my side, but a lot of nights I would end up on my back. Don't worry, you'll come too. Eventually.Man, i'm about to go to sleep too. What if I get it tonight? Who will save me?
Where are we going?Don't worry, you'll come too. Eventually.
You won't be "going" anywhere.Where are we going?
One time. One time I had that. I was able to cry, but not move. Fucking horrifying. Knowing what it is now, if it happened again, I think I would handle it much better.Sleep paralysis - terrifying.
there's a cool movie/ documentary thing called "the nightmare" about sleep paralysis
I got better at handling it. I knew it was happening and would just "will" myself awake. One time. One time I had that. I was able to cry, but not move. Fucking horrifying. Knowing what it is now, if it happened again, I think I would handle it much better.
I was very religious at the time, and that helped.I got better at handling it. I knew it was happening and would just "will" myself awake.
I get that every once in a while, no hallucinations or anything scary though. I'm always afraid though that I'll turn around and my face will be on the pillow and I'll suffocate, which is stupid because by then my body would wake up. I can usually force my eyes open and wake up, but it's not a fun thing to experience.Sleep paralysis - terrifying.
Yes! It's on Netflix.
Don't worry about it too much, I used to sleepwalk as a kid and I turned out alri...Ah shit. One of my kids sleepwalks/talks and I find it creepy as fuck. I've woken up with him standing over me and just staring. When I talk to him, it's usually complete nonsense. Like one night he went downstairs to the kitchen and dug through the drawer until he found a spoon. Then he held it up in the air like a trophy and said "YES! IM GONNA THREE IT!" then went back upstairs to bed.
This belongs in my mouth. This belongs here.
Debatable?Don't worry about it too much, I used to sleepwalk as a kid and I turned out alri...Ah shit.
