We don't have much in the way of traffic here. Matt's commute to work isn't bad at all.He actually enjoys it on his motorcycle. :cautious: It really depends what part of the state you're in. I have to drive like 45 minutes to hit actual freeway traffic and even then, I've never had anything too terrible outside of when I was driving around LA and San Fran. Living in the mountains/desert has its perks:love:

All the property taxes we are looking at for different houses we might buy aren't bad either, but that's because we purposely live outside of LA county (not by too much, but just enough for a significant tax difference lol). If you're not living in a major metro area, it's not that bad really, and we both get paid more for our respective jobs than we did before so it's not a huge difference. I'd like to get paid a tiny bit more, but I also negotiated myself working remote 95% of the time and only have to slog out to the LA area every few weeks or so, which kinda evens out the salary difference. :joyful:
It's trendy to hate California right now, plus you have to consider that they probably live in a shitty state like fucking Wyoming, lmao.

Doing those Monse1 hits. They seem easy, just go to a URL find a part number/sku etc but nearly all the pages I've been sent to have nothing... Kinda leery about doing a bunch.

Sooo apparently I need to come and move there.
Just wait till we finally pick out a house! We'll have the spare room. Matt wants at least an acre for all his Matty toys and the doggos, we'll have some space. We have the cutest little old lady real estate agents and we LOVE THEM. They have a lot of patience for Matt and how picky he is  We had some younger "go getter, " types and they kept pushing us to spend like 100k over what we wanted because "you can afford it," and that's just not how that works. Our little old ladies are super funny and like to write directions down on post it notes. I love them. They've both been doing this for like 40 years, so nothing shocks them anymore and they are hysterically shrewd when it comes to dealing with owners/other realtors.

Joe, can I ask what computer system you have?

I am trying to save up 1400 for a custom built one.
Just something I built 4 years ago for ~800. 1400 will take you far. A6_Foul_Out @A6_Foul_Out is right, unless you're into gaming.

I actually like it a lot! I’ve lived in NY, SC, GA, FL (screw you disney college internship), and VA, and I had some severe adjustment issues when I first got here, but honestly Matt and I are pretty happy. It’s a good mix of what we both like.

I also live in the Cali boonies tho, so I’m far removed from the way more expensive/more crazy areas lol.
I spent the first 28 years of my life in California and leaving was the best decision I have ever made.

Or you guys can just move here and bring me dogs and babies. I have a little over 100 acres so plenty of room on the farm!

I stopped at 13 HITS submitted. I've got nearly 96000 HITs approved with only 58 rejections so far, so if those don't go through it won't hurt my rating too much. Still have over 1000 penny hits from yesterday to go through which would also offset any rejections.

I'm not going to argue that my location is the best. There's too many damn people here already.
I've liked most of the areas I've lived in tbh. They all have pros and cons and situational differences. I wouldn't wanna live in SoCal without the reasons Matt and I have now (our jobs, our point in our lives, our hobbies) just like I wouldn't wanna live in Clemson anymore, but when I was in college, it was A+. I loved growing up on LI, but it's so different now from what it was 10 years ago and I'm not sure I'd love it now.

I'm not gonna argue my town is the best, cause it has flaws, but I love it and I've loved quite a few areas that were exceptionally different too. Now, I just gotta cross the pacific northwest off my list at some point and I can have lived in all 4 corners of the US wooo.
