I think I remember that match, just based on that description.

Also, I remember a male tennis player, I think he was Czech, and he bounced the ball like 14-15 times before hitting it, and it used to make me feel physically ill, to watch.

Previously, I spoke to someone about it, and they said it's like a martial arts thing, breathing out with force or yelling, to impart force into your strike, but then at some point, for many players, it basically became pure superstition.
Fun fact: I breath out heavily when I hit a tennis ball, but I do not shriek like a lunatic, cause I'd be kicked off the court.

Fun fact: I know that I would get kicked off the court because my buddy and I were making Sharapova-esque noises while we played, to screw around, and we were asked to leave.
We were the only ones at the court other than the groundskeeper and a guy patiently practicing his serve.
