a lot of babies are born with blue eyes that eventually change to brown or hazel. I can't remember the science behind it, but it's super common
They darken because of the melanin! It's common that it has to develop in your system, so it takes time to darken eyes/hair/etc.

Women also have 2 sets of x chromasomes (obvs and it's called mosaic genes) but for the most part, your body uses one set as an inactive X (not expressing that trait), butttt it can be expressed part of the time and can lead to really fun shit like having 2 hair colors. When I'm not making myself a redhead, I have super super dark brown hair with blonde streaks that run thru to the point that people thought my parents were highlighting my hair as a kid, but it was just that I had a couple sets of my hair color gene (I'm super simplifying here for the sake of conversation) going strong instead of one and I still get both colors going strong. There's a ton of ways this can manifest and I just think it's cool lol.

what’s your opinion on women or men dying their hair to cover up the grey? or do you think they should embrace the grey

that's really interesting (and sounds pretty). I wonder if that explains the random white patch of hair near my temple? I never noticed it until the first time I shaved my head but it's never gone away.

I think they should do whatever they feel comfortable with. I don't dye my hair red or wear makeup for anyone other than myself. I like the way I look. I also get some grey hairs already and I damn well cover them up, but I'm sure I will eventually decide to be fab and grey. I make a strong point to let people look however the hell they want tho. VIVA LA SEXINESS OF SELF CONFIDENCE EYYY!

i actually cut my hair pretty short about a month ago just to do it. but now i noticed a few grey hairs over the weekend. and now i’m prepared to change my name to celibaterider
I started getting a lot of grey in my mid twenties, but it reversed itself. Now I'm just grey at the temples. And my beard. My beard is getting whiter every day. If my hair goes gray I hope it turns out like my grandmothers. Her hair was as thick as mine and completely bone white.

they should do whatever the fuck they want with their own hair, who cares
this, Peachy @PeachyRider . I've never dyed my hair (well, once, but it was semi-permanent and you couldn't even tell I dyed it), but I have an undercut which is pretty radical for my small, country-bumpkin town. I get weird looks all the time, but fuck 'em. do what you want.
