Wow. Tuesdays have been better than other days this summer for me but seems like no matter what I did I could only make about $20 a week.

I had a hit auto-submit when I hit enter in the iframe today, so I reached out to the requester to ask him what I should do. He responded by rejecting my hit and sending me this:

What's my next step in a situation like this? I want to write him back but can't come up with anything that doesn't sound aggressive. Is there some suggestion I can make to him about fixing it?

unless it paid a high amount i would just let it go. it was a mistake on your end and it sounds like they at least tried to come up with a solution.

You could ask them to set up a dummy HIT with no pay so you can finish the task. Then they would get the data and be able to reverse your rejection.

I really don't feel like it was a mistake on my end at all. It was a hit that required writing, and I hit enter as one normally does when writing a paragraph.

I think this is the best option at this point.
