In College, One of my friends was walking around and everyone kept trying to find out WHY his face was covered in glitter and kept asking him..
Later that night I slept over my best friend megans house. As we were changing to get into PJ's I noticed that her underwear was COVERED in glitter writing....

Never looked at glitter the same.

Did you and your friend high five after that? Or is that only a thing guys would do?

But on a VELVET CANVAS? OF A Saintly cow (or something else I haven't decided yet, maybe David Bowie)? C'mon. It's so tacky it goes right back around to being neat. Or it doesn't and it's just tacky, either way, I've gotta have it. I'll spend months on it just for the laughs it will get.

No. She had a boyfriend who was ALSO hanging out with us that night. He and the guy were best friends.

True story, related in a few ways... I like to paint nouveau old-school Catholic type art but with non saints (my favorite is a Burning Heart of Jesus painting that's actually a Scottish Highland cow) and hubs has given me permission to do one on velvet with glitter. It's so tacky. The rule is I can hang it wherever I want, and it can be as big as I want, but I have to do it. He's such a patient man.

We want to see that masterpiece when you're finished.

Kind of related but not: My parents were landlords over 30 years ago and had to explain to a tenant that moved out why they weren't getting the security deposit back. The reason? They decided to wallpaper the entire house with velvet wallpaper. Velvet. The whole house.
