I have to do 5 as well. And it took me until week 16 to realize they'd accept me updating an old forecast instead of constantly having to hunt down a new one, getting into topics I'm more and more uncertain of.

Ummmm, when your the one person who didn't understand that this was a thing.

Also, wouldn't the ratings really be subjective anyhow. If someone who only has to complete 3 questions is at number 20 that is far better than the person completing 5 questions being 25, once all are completed anyhow.

@Sondi is 100% correct. If reverse osmosis filtration is too expensive or not practical, then carbon (aka activated charcoal) filtration does a pretty good job of removing lead from water. Even simple Brita Longlast Filters are really effective at trapping enough lead that the water is safe to drink.

there's a small asterisk under the table with the lead readings that says: "*Copper and lead samples were collected from 1 area resident on 8-1-7. None of the samples exceeded the MCL." (MCL being "Maximum Contaminant Level, or the highest level of a contaminant that is allowed in drinking water.")

I thought that series of number was some sort of location code but what if 8-1-7 is the date? they didn't test for it this year?

I did this over a month ago and it never left pending status and automatically approved at that point. The HIT is still available and I'm thinking of doing it again. Anyone else have issues with CopyText Inc.?

I just checked, and the ones I did for them a little less than a month ago were approved. I ended up putting them on my block list though. I actually don't remember why

I have done hundreds of them and never had a reject ,they approve in a few hours, but you have to do a requester search to get the good ones and even then you will be throwing back half of those. Lot of background noise or aussie accents that are hard to understand and those are not worth doing.

So my brother told me today that he looked at the water test information from the county today and there are traces of lead in the water.

We've been drinking bottled water mostly except for him. he drinks fridge water most often. I'm also worried about cooking with it now and bathing in it. My parents house across the street has a reverse osmosis filter, that comment is more a reminder for me to google if that gets rid of lead when I come back to my computer in a few minutes.

Comments? Advice? Anecdotal stories? Filter recommendations?

RO sytems are awesome. I have one that fits under my kitchen sink (even with a garbage disposal). Costco has them pretty inexpensive, and anyone with a small knowledge of plumbing can install one. I have a line run from it to my refrigerator also.
