There have been some issues with people doing this and scamming so I would not do any turking through a VPN or otherwise from outside the US.

I am a US resident and always turking abroad with a VPN. No issues. I should be allowed from working from anywhere I please as I live in the USA.

I sent them a note and submitted it with my Mturk ID and put the completion code in the email.

In the past maybe but with all this bot shit they have suspended two people that I know of and the only real link they share is the use of a VPN from outside the US. I wouldn't want to get caught up in that BS because we know amazon isn't going to listen to reason when you try to explain why you were using it.

Edit: Plus this person is a new account so that looks even worse for them.

My advice to you is to not worry about turking while you're on vacation.

Catching worthwhile things raw from mTurk is never that easy. Have a read of this post: https://www.mturkcrowd.com/threads/your-first-1000-hits.23/ and as @jan suggested, install at least MTS and Panda Crazy. Get to know them and relax while you are away. Not all schools are back from their summer vacations yet either, certainly not the European ones, so don't worry. When you are trying to get numbers up, the quality of what you do is much more important than the quantity. Read the reviews. Don't work for requesters who are known to be trigger-happy rejectors. Good luck.

You've just passed 600 hits and you're already having days where you're making close to (never mind more than) $15?
What you need to realize is that that's actually pretty high level. I think I made 21 cents my entire first year - while most people's stories aren't quite that extreme, I feel like it takes most people quite a bit of time to even get that far. You're doing well.

Yeah, that's gonna happen. You're new - the sooner you can adopt the mindset that Turk isn't going to be like a job where you get paid a salary or an hourly wage. There are absolutely no guarantees, no schedule, little to no rhyme or reason. It's how it works. It drives most of us at least a little crazy, be prepared for that.

Really, you're doing fine. If you wanna make more though, scripts are a thing you need to get on.

lol, what's a vacation? Seriously, please consider listening to everyone telling you to enjoy your vacation, it's been more than 5 years since I had one. I suspect that's another thing that would be true for a few of us around here.
