Really? I feel like I'm still working for the requester until I submit the HIT. I don't read debriefs studiously but, I always read them. I've almost missed many a code because it was on the debrief page in the same font and color, and could only be found by looking over the page. But, everyone has different opinions.

That's true, I have gotten a few codes on the debrief page. I have the word " attention" auto highlighted so I'm not worried about it, but it seems a bit unethical imo.

I guess the reason I thought it was cheap was that they had already said the survey was over, and then had that page.

That is really the point I was trying to make. I pay attention, read every question, and this just seemed like too much (in my opinion).

It's kinda crazy about Amazon. They charge way too much and have insane add-on costs for their hits but ppl like Prolific or even the universities themselves are willing to pay so much more. I do surveys for various universities that pay almost five times as much and those same universities also post the same surveys via mturk.
