I'll probably just let it go since it wasn't a rejection. I just couldn't complete the survey. My irritation subsides pretty quickly lol

I emailed them. Spending twenty minutes on something, working very carefully to avoid any and all errors, to not be compensated is such a smack in the face. I am not here to provide requesters free work so hopefully it's an error on their part and they'll compensate everyone who got wrongly booted.

I took screen shots of everything from that study so I know the checks were answered correctly.

Attention checks are great but those ones are awful. You shouldn't be booted after 20 minutes. Spread like 3 throughout the survey and check them afterwards. If they missed one but got the others, than maybe they accidentally missed it. If they got them all wrong, well then you know they weren't paying attention.

always look at the from address and everything else in that email to make sure you see no misspellings, no bad grammar, no missing or misplaced punctuation. unless you are 100% sure emails like that are valid you should always call the company to determine whether it's a valid email before doing anything.

Something else to do is type in the website url manually in your browser and not click any links in the questionable email
