I don't know exactly how Amazon does their distribution center, I've done some other jobs like that and they were all awful. It made me never want to do it again, not to mention I don't know if I can physically do it anymore.
Yeah I ask her about it every so often because everything I hear from everywhere else is that it's an awful thankless job. But, she insists it's nice, so... idk

ok so I seriously wanna hear everyone's opinion on Amazon paying everyone that works for them part time and full time 15.00 an hour or more.

Does this change anything for you? When I found out, I was thinking about Whole Foods... I mean, I already work at a grocery store on the weekends...

and then theres amazon customer service, which wasn't shit to me at 10.00 an hour... now it looks almost ok...

even if you make 600 a month on mturk, doing it at job will give you much more free time plus benefits...

what do you guys think?
We don't work for Amazon, though, so I don't think you can really compare what we make to what they're paying their employees.

Though, in general, I think having a "real" job is always going to be more reliable and lucrative. I would love to have one if I could.

Yeah, I was at the grocery store yesterday and noticed they already had white mocha peppermint creamer. I'm really trying not to be trashed off peppermint mocha white russians all the time, this early in the season.
*all the time*

imperative word there

I should have been more clear about what I mean, I meant does it make you want to get an official job for amazon?

Have to wear pants. Have to answer to someone. Have to have regular hours. Have to work with people.

I mean if I needed the money, I'd probably do it. I have a good friend who works at a distribution center and she says she enjoys it... but it's not for me.
what about Whole Foods? part time or full time?

I was considering trying Amazon Flex. I wonder how the changes effect that.

My experience with them was "you are going to work 70 hours a week, you may have no off days and yea this building has no AC and the heat sucks so have fun."

I almost worked at wholefoods, back when they weren't owned by Amazon (I could walk there if I wanted) but I Had friends that worked there and, again, they all hated it. Plus I can't stand most of the people who shop there. And they require pants.

my friends husband had that same issue at a center of theirs. you also get stock options when you start at least full time. but he only made it a year and had to quit, he was miserable.

I rarely do anymore, but I always turn into a lush around the holidays. Winter drinks are my fave.

Also, hi.
Just don't do it too much :p
