Ugh. I've been hounding her about at least tearing them out and leaving it exposed, I just want them gone. She keeps reassuring me that it'll get done ASAP, but she hasn't had a maintenance man since April, and before that she went through...7? 8? in about 6 months. The pay is NOT worth it. So who knows how long it'll be.

Oy... maybe HUD needs to have a talk with her? o.0

Probably. I've already had to contact them once when my heater went out and she thought it'd be okay to leave me without even a space heater for 2 weeks in below freezing temps with a 1 year old. Buuuut I really hate rocking the boat because I have to live here for the foreseeable future

She should be using a contractor for that. And I don't know how you feel about this, but if it's causing a health and safety issue and she's "not getting to it" then she does need to be reported to your Fair Housing department. She really can't get away with not fixing the damage caused by a flood. That's really bad.

But I know some tenants don't like to report things, so I get it if you don't want to.

I just googled pantry moths and I don't think that's what they are. They just look like regular ol' gnats. I've looked for rotting food and can't find any (even pulled out the fridge and stuff to look under them). I've poured bleach down the sink, and vinegar. No luck. The only things that have been halfway effective are fly tape and a water bottle with fruit scraps. A bowl of apple cider vinegar (with and without foil) didn't do crap.

Sounds like drain flies.

I know it. I went back to finish my college degree in 2015 after a 16 year hiatus. It was all fun and games until I had to use the newer version of Excel. A lot changed in 15 years lol.
