I tried that last night (letting the art tell me what it wants) but it just came out looking horrible. I don't expect it to look like a masterpiece but goodness I hoped it wouldn't look like colorful vomit lol
Jackson Pollock painted grade-A bullshit, and that motherfucker is famous. Don't discredit colorful vomit! :twohearts:

I stole this:

" 'Jack of all trades, master of none' is in Charles Lucas's Pharmacomastix, 1785:

The very Druggist, who in all other nations in Europe is but Pharmacopola, a mere drug-merchant, is with us, not only a physician and chirurgeon, but also a Galenic and Chemic apothecary; a seller of druggs, medicines, vertices, oils, paints or colours poysons, &c. a Jack of all trades, and in truth, master of none." Not sure if I'm on the right track here, but there used to be something to say for folks that considered themselves as Jack of all trades and Master of none. Perhaps we need more of those type of people again.
We do. This push of demeaning people's necessary, and SKILLFUL jobs to increase useless degrees and student debt has really screwed us over.
Too many people can't find jobs they paid enormous amounts of money for, and too many skills are looked down on b/c they didn't take a university to foster. :sob:

Hah! thanks! It never occured to me that that phrase had an origin other than idle chat. Learn something new every day! .

This hit sucked ass! 30-40 minutes with chit chat on the forum. Still mind numbing. Only good thing is they give you 180 minutes, so you can do it in blocks while you do other things.

lol I think we'd be offended nowadays to not be considered at least masters of medicine. But my fave part of the job I ever did was when I was working in France for a year. "Are these mushrooms safe to eat or are they going to kill me?" Holy heck....that was a responsibility and I definitely didn't feel Master of anything at that point.

This is starting to change. People learn kind of slowly, you may have noticed.
