Also, what about old shoes that have the clear bottoms that get yellow when they're old? Does it fix that?

Don't know, haven't tried that. Basically plastic they used in old computers yellows with age as heat and UV light strips oxygen from it. Heat or UV + oxygen can restore some of these plastics' color to original.

Don't know if shoes work the same way. If you have a piece of that plastic you can soak it in warm hydrogen peroxide overnight, or put it in a clear container of hydrogen peroxide in the sun all day, to see if it makes a difference.

This hit sucked ass! 30-40 minutes with chit chat on the forum. Still mind numbing. Only good thing is they give you 180 minutes, so you can do it in blocks while you do other things.

It took me longer than 40 minutes and indeed it did SUCK, was NEVER ENDING and was MIND NUMBING - The time estimate was 20-30 minutes - HAH!

I was just glad it had 3 hours so I could leave and come back to it. I did NOT like that hit, but by the time I figured that out I was hoping I was about done.

About the only thing I still have like that is my white stove that was made around 1990, and two plastic end caps are turning yellow and the rest of the stove is white.

Different plastics have different chemical makeups. Some (most) get brittle, some change colors, some colors fade, etc. Fixing them, if possible, also requires different things (so oxygen won't help some things).

SNESs are so ugly now.

Take it apart, submerse the yellowed plastic in (fresh) Peroxide, put it in the oven at 150-170 degrees for a few hours, it will make a shocking difference in the color.

The "classic" method is to smear it with salon peroxide creme (more concentrated) and leave it in the sun, but heat seems to work as well as sunlight and the creme leaves streaks.

Edit: A case like that would require about a gallon of peroxide, so not super cheap. But you can get it a liter at a time at the dollar store. It's not really reusable, much.
