My ex used to get horrible looks b/c even though he WAS 5 years older than me, but I was grown as fuck, I still got stopped when walking on the street for "breaking curfew" at 22. And my oldest was tall, so it looked like I had him at much younger than the 18-years-old I did have him at.
People are nosey fucks.

oh my goshhhh yes. When I was pregnant I was followed around on 2 separate occasions while they whispered trying to guess how old I was.

I know how you feel. My mom was 18 when she had me and always looked a bit young. And, since she was very skinny and had long hair, she was a lot of guys' "type". When I was 16 or 17, I grew up pretty quickly, physically. So, we'd go to the store or, walk down the road, for whatever reason, and my friends would ask who the chick was, and her friends would ask if she was cheating on my sister's dad. It was always awkward.

My husband was 11 years older than me. His son was 12 years younger. When we would go out with my children, people would think my stepson was my husband and my husband was grandpa. We had a lot of laughs over the years.

When I went in to have him, we were waiting on my midwife and the nurses from her office that came with her, and a couple hospital nurses were being SO rude to me, and making "children having babies, this is what you get" comments. My midwife heard some of it, and after she was done with me (I have quick labor and deliveries...) she let into them. She went to bosses. She did not stand for that, and wouldn't have even if I WAS as young as they thought. It's not like my DOB wasn't on my arm, they were just assholes.

My man is 13 years older than me, his daughter is 9 years younger than me. He frequently has to tell people that I am not his daughter and his daughter is not his girlfriend. Poor feller...

that's disgusting. that's absolutely not their place even if you were young. If a 14 year old (or whatever) is getting pregnant then there's almost definitely a problem in their life and they shouldn't be judged, anyway. this stuff makes my blood boil

My family is a bit strange like that. My sister is 20 years younger than I but, my mom is only 18 years older. So, my sister and I have a different sort of dad/brother/uncle relationship.
