NO MORE WIRE HANGERS

I came from just a regular, poor family, like a lot of America. After seeing that as a, kid, I had no idea what was wrong with wire hangers but, I knew they were bad. We had ALL wire hangers, probably lifted from a launderette, if anything ever made it onto a hanger. I thought they caused cancer or something. Don't think I figured it out until I was 16 and moved out, moving on to the joys of plastic and wooden hangers.ompus:

I still cringe when I see a wire hanger due to that movie.

That movie didn't bother me as much as Flowers in the Attic because I was already a bit desensitized to angry(violent) parents but, the daynamic of them caring for each other reminded me of my role as older brother so, it really hit home. Plus, the cover to that novel AND Let There Be Thorns, both gave me nightmares. lmao

Because of the thinness of wire hangers, and the weight of some expensive costume and couture garments, wire hangers can stretch or crease the shoulders. Plastic or wood tend to be a less extreme curve(they're more rounded) so it takes longer to disfigure a garment, if ever.

Mine served during Desert Storm but didn't see combat. He was a welder on an aircraft carrier

That sounds like a cool job. My uncle does the same but, before they hit the water. He builds them.
