Would love to know what you did to get rid of this. I get shots in my feet every 3 months now and have inserts. The pain is unbearable. Years of wearing heels.
One big part was I saw a chiropractor who specializes in the lower body. He has a tool that he would use on the foot to break up the tissue that was causing the pain and work out the ligament. That hurt like hell, but worked great. Plus inserts. Always inserts. Never wore any cute shoes for over a year. Always good heel and arch support (but not in the arch area where it hurt to be pressed on if that makes sense).
I also stretched. The calf muscles and the lower leg. That keeps from pulling on the sore area. Now I keep up the stretching and the (mostly) wearing of good shoes.
I also iced 2-3 times per day to lower inflammation. I rolled my foot on a frozen water bottle. And I did a foot stretch that is impossible to describe, and if I can find a video I will, but it was mostly holding the foot up at a right angle to the leg then rotating it in and out.
I would say inserts, stretching and icing were the big deals.
I had my son rub my foot often, too, and showed him how to rub the ligament (or whatever it is) to stretch it. I'm sure that helped a lot.
