Yes it would come as an email, through the Mturk messaging system. I don't think multitabbing would be an issue. Not my call but, I know that when multitabbing, if a requester has an issue, one of these phrases "No distractions, Don't switch out of this window, You may only have one instance...etc" is usually on there. That said, I guess no requesters would put that there until they have a problem with it the first time. Then they'll say that you weren't giving it your full attention, therefore not providing quality data.(whether or not I agree with this is moot)

On the other note, once you try to select your partner, removing the randomness, you're definitely getting to the point where data starts to get skewed. Since you'd know your partner, you'd have info(from previous chats) that you shouldn't have about their likes, have established rapport, etc.

This is just my experienced opinion. It's your turk account, you have the right to run it how you'd like and everyone has a different risk tolerance.

Going off of what you mentioned I've never got a block then aside from noahs soft qual based blocks for doing too many of his hits in a day usually always kicked in after getting roughly 26$ in a given day from him, I had never really known whether or not you were notified about that till I asked.

You can dream. I was talking in general terms. Not sure the specifics on that chat HIT. But, do you think someone is more likely to drop a less than responsive chat, if they have a few going at once? So, if that's what's happening, multitabbing could be the problem, not the solution. Just playing devil's advocate here but, I'd think that the person working on a single chat, in a singe window, with a single partner, is more likely to be attentive and responsive, as well as being more likely to complete that chat, since it's the only thing they've got going. Also, if you had 3 open, and some high paying something or other, that says *Start Immediately* comes through and all of a sudden, you've just dropped 3 chats and ruined 3 partners days. Also, if you have multiples going, there's more risk of an accidental closure due to a misclick, maybe.

Tbh. None of this really matters to me. Just using this as a thought experiment to show that there is rationalization for either or both ways being right, or wrong, or more efficient, etc. Either way, I'm sure you'll be fine and do what's best for you.

Oh I'm familiar with the names of and general story concept of Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, I've just never seen them. Spirited Away came out in theaters when I would have been in about 5th grade.

I liked Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. I didn't like the end how one character didn't get any consequences though. (not trying to spoil it if someone else didn't watch it but I guess I mightve spoiled it? lol)

Yeah I get you, realistically anything can be argued from both sides as its really all subjective. To clarify though when I did do that I had all three hits visible at once in separate windows, so they could be responded to immediately or close to that. Which is more or less what I do now with partitioning my screen with three active browsing windows, one holds the MTS tabs, the separate window below it I use for general web stuff, videos email, etc. And the third window that houses my current hit I am working on/hit queue/dashboard. I never really asked anyone else how they do their screen layout for this, I just sorta came to the conclusion. Is that common?

it was good. a couple of the action scenes were really fun. also some of the visuals

Meh, I don't know. I don't think you have to worry about ruining it. I feel like, after a year, all bets are off. Also, did a couple of studies that showed pretty well that people are less disappointed with endings if they know what's coming. Wouldn't that be a crazy world if we were only allowed to talk about the first act of any movie, in case someone who hadn't seen it overheard and got really angry.

Is your setup/screen partitioning common? I don't think there is a common way. I use multiple screens. Ask 100 people how they set up their screens and you'll get at least 100 different answers.

True, just was not sure whether others used a similar idea for organization purposes. I feel the table would be crowded if I added a second 55 inch. Aside from looking up commonly used scripts back when I started in January I had never really looked into how others set things up for sake of ease, so it left me a little curious. I suppose we all sorta find our way to something that works for us though, the only real thing I'd like to be able to do is possibly be able to reach the finder quicker, though usually if I'm not engaged in something actively that requires mouse focus to stay within the window I can flick over fairly well.

the only real thing I'd like to be able to do is possibly be able to reach the finder quicker, though usually if I'm not engaged in something actively that requires mouse focus to stay within the window I can flick over fairly well.

My HitFinder lives on it's own screen(touch-enabled) on the left, with Hitcatcher behind it, both pinned, on my second pc(connected with InputDirector) My main PC is my working HIT and my queue, dashboard, if I need it. Third large screen, on the wall, connected to main pc, for videos, the forum, email, etc.
But, I wouldn't be able to make what I do if HitFinder didn't have pride of place on it's own, on top screen. I feel the most important thing is catching HITs, since you can't do them if you don't. So, my accept button is always on top, always on the upper right.

I couldn't do one monitor. When some HIT wants to take over my full screen and pc, I'd freak out if the rest of the turk operation had to come to a halt.

It's just fine with 2, if you're just turking. If you start adding social media(including MTC) and entertainment, that's where the third comes in, imo.
