I got a refurbed S7 when the S8 came out from ebay and it's great. The seller had a good reputation.
Depending on your provider you can usually just get a higher dollar amount off through trade in, that's what I did last upgrade anyway. Traded in a 70 dollar phone for 300 off the new one.
