Fair enough, but $1.80 an hour surveys aren't how you're going to build numbers.
These suck too, but there are lots of them. You could double your hits done in a hurry.

my numbers ones are the 30 second find contacts or transcribe an image to a HIT input form. I don't like the image ones. One image one asks you what color a skirt or something is and it's hard to tell as they are images with bad lighting so I don't want (for instance) to say white because the lighting isn't good and the requestor says it's yellow and rejects it. I did one of the image tagging ones, too, but it's hard to use a zoom tool to see better to a cross or draw a box on the desired object and when you zoom out the cross or box isn't where you put it for whatever reason.

Not usually. A requester can use any metric for qualification but, that's used verrrry rarely. I think I've seen it twice. "Abandoning" HITs is part of the job.

Best practice is to return over expire.

EDIT Also, the forum has a search feature(upper left) that's good for little stuff like this, if you want a quick answer.(You can still ask here but, want to let you know your options) Most little stuff like that has been addressed a multitude of times.
