if u dont mind me asking, wat time did u start?
why that is an interesting question my dear lobo. If you meant today, I started around 10:00a.m. because I spent most of the morning trying to figure out how to set up moble tests on usertesting.com. I'm a bit slow with mobile phones so it takes me a bit longer than everyone else to figure them out.

If you mean when did I start turking at all, that is quite an interesting story.

In early 2014 I stumbled upon another site where you can make money taking surveys called clixsense.com. I worked on that site for a few months making about ten dollars a day. I usually spent about 8-9 hours on the site and I longed for a better way to make money. I noticed on the site, there were tasks you could do to make money. These tasks were mostly search result tasks from crowd flower. I figured if a company named crowd flower had tasks that they would pay people to do, there must be other sites that do it as well.

When I searched google for crowd flower, I noticed it was called a "crowd sourcing" site. So naturally, I searched for the best crowd sourcing sites on google and a site came up that said mturk. I scanned around, looking at the types of jobs that were available, and the transcription jobs caught my eye first. I saw that some were 10, 40, 50, even 80 dollar jobs. Oh how my heart soared! I was making ten dollars a day on clixense. The thought of making 80 dollars a day at home made me ecstatic!

I decided to give it a shot and test out the "mturk" site. However, when I joined, the site said I had to wait 10 days until I could get paid. For some reason I thought it meant ten days until I'd be able to do more than one job. So I took a quick 50 cent survey about music, and patiently waited the ten days. After that, it was around June of 2014 when I finally got around to becoming a turker.

eat a bologna sandwich and try again

Does it have to be bologna? Can it be like, just cheese? If it has to be bologna can I fry it first or does it have to be cold?

OMG, you guys. I just got a call from someone that wanted to sell me auto insurance. (and it's something I somehow got signed up for via mturk scam hit when i first started.) They're calling from overseas, they call 5-6 times a day and it's infuriating. Every time I'm nice and say "take me off your list." Today I told them if I got one more call I was going to take my phone records to a lawyer and sue them for $1500 a pop because that was the law here. (I'm not sure on that but whatever.) I said "Are you aware of that?" He said "No, so you're not interested?" I said no, happy with current insurance. Again, take me of the list. Here's where it get's interesting.

He says: "Fuck you, bitch." And I let loose with a stream of profanity (unfortunately in front of my entire family - that looked at me a little worried then were rolling laughing) that he probably didn't even understand half of because I'm very creative in my cursing. Bet he calls again tomorrow anyway...
Start calling them back. I had a similar issue, so I started keeping track of the #s. I called them a lot at the #s they were calling me from, and then would try to engage them in conversation about random things not related to the scam they were trying to sell me. Eventually they stopped answering and calling. It only took a couple days You just have to tie up their phone lines and waste their time. It wont take long before they cross you off that list. It's a fun thing to do while you're working on A9 hits.

I won't even spend an hour working on well-paying HITs that my future self would love for me to do. Why would I ever talk on the phone with someone for that long over nothing?
It's kind of fun to enrage these people though.

I tried that. They're not even good #'s. One went to a pizza hut in NJ. So, they've got some quite the scam set up.
