Got this email from Mturk this morning.

Anyone have any ideas why I received this? Turking from California and using Mturk Suite and Panda Crazy.
That message is part of their "initiative" to let workers know if they're in trouble, at least according to what Electrolyte was told in 2017(?). So basically they just try to let you know you might get suspended soon, instead of outright giving you the boot. I helped a guy on Reddit a few weeks back that got that message; he contacted Amazon about it and they just gave him some dumb copypasta about working correctly or whatever. He just kept doing his thing, and as far as I know, he hasn't been suspended. If you'd like, I'll give you a contact address to see if it will help things.

It's worth noting that a lot of people get this message (especially recently), and Amazon is generally pretty sucky when it comes to suspending/warning the right people, so hopefully you don't feel singled out/at fault for this. There is a bit of a gray area regarding the use of scripts, but if they started banning for using MTS and the like, the userbase of this forum would practically die overnight.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I sent an email to mturk-worker-support@amazon.com about the situation, hopefully it helps. If there is another email address that I should message can you please let me know? Thanks

I hope that wasn't what triggered it. I got a rejection yesterday for going too fast.

I emailed them and it was overturned. This is the message I sent. YMMV but it worked for me.

Hi,

I'll take your word for the three and a half minutes. I wasn't counting. Am I correct in saying that the only issue is with my completion time? Is there anything in my answers that indicates that they were filled out randomly? Did I miss any of the attention checks? You put the completion time at 7 minutes in the HIT title.. That's the median is it not? Half of respondents will complete it in under 7 minutes and half will complete it in over 7 minutes? I was in the under.

> If you have a survey of similar length, structure, and difficulty that you'd like to use to gauge my reading speed and comprehension , then please send it to me. I can go through it at the same pace and demonstrate good retention if that will alleviate your concerns that I submitted random data.

>

> If you have a better idea I'm open to hearing it. Please let me know what you think.
I sent a message to the requester, thanks.

you never know......I got suspended for over a year once. Phone calls and many emails later I just gave up. One service person said to delete my account and start fresh....which means I would lose masters...a few months later I sent one last email to amazon. In 15 minutes I got an email from amazon. The Girl said to change my birth date because it was off by 100 years. 1956/2056 I did that and signed in to do a hit. Made 4 cents! But I was back on!..... strange

Holy smokes. No one thought to check your birthdate??

They should make "Help other turker" hits so we can fix things ourselves lol

Well, that's about what I would expect from them. Both grossly incompetent and terrifying! I wish Amazon would hire some human talent for their CS team(s).

KY3 was one of the first hits I ever did on this platform years ago. I've been locked out from doing them ever since.

Did you put 2056 as your birthday when you signed up? Or what happened?
