Without getting super personal, have any of you had success with online dating?

Met my wife in an old school, web-based chat room in the late 90s, she was on webtv lol. We celebrate 21 years next month.

I've learned that POF is pretty much a no-go. Too many bots. Try every now and again.
Not a huge fan of Tinder/Bumble.
OKCupid seems to be the the best for me at the moment.

there’s always diamonds in the rough don’t get me wrong. you might be able to find a good person on online dating still, but there’s a lot of bad apples on there. to me it was too much effort and not enough reward. i’ve met women in the past on tinder, but i haven’t been on in about a year. i feel like online dating has gone way downhill in the last 2-3 yrs. a lot of women don’t even want to meet lol, but are on there just for validation

Lol, I have considered that because I am somewhat ready to interact with other people after 2 years of being single ( I hate referring to myself as a widow), but I kinda think I will just pass on that. I suspect most responses would be from men who are living in another country and posing as respectable servicemen who are awaiting their pension checks, inheritance money, or lottery win, and need me to wire them some money.

There is a lot of things to hate about California, especially that it's now influencing my state's laws that I will be living in a California-like state without living in California.

Tops on my reasons to hate California list.

That's the list actually. I don't really hate California. I've enjoyed a lot of the film and the music that's come from there. I've heard that the weather is nice too.
