You can contact them without submitting their HIT. Go to TurkerView search the requester and there is a contact button. I've done it more than once today irritating day for me!

Or if you use MTS, right click the requestor name in the main HIT page and use 'contact requester'. It'll come up with an error but any time I've done that, it's worked.
