04/05 - That Friday Feeling!

What kind of coffee do people make everyday, Drip, keurig or percolators. I'm curious as to how many fellow percolators there are out there.

I make the kind that's wet, sweet and creamy. And available........this IS about coffee. Yes?

I've been drinking it since I was a kid, and go on and off so much that I don't freak out. I just get headaches. There have been times in my life that "only the necessities" included NO COFFEE. I can go about 3-4 days. Maybe it's b/c I also drink so much water?

I have had some rough times too, but the necessities were coffee, I figured I could survive without food for at least 30 days.

Since we're talking about coffee, does anyone here drink it cold pressed/brewed? I need to switch to black coffee and I heard it's less acidic.

That's the way I drink it in the summer--iced. It is easier to stomach, too.

I heard from my brother today. My dad passed away this morning. I've been sat doing not much for a couple of hours. I may be heading over to the UK without hubby though. We don't have the $$ to pay 2 lots of flights or to put the cats in cat jail. He needs a passport too, which would mean a trip to Atlanta and overnight stay somewhere.

Flow mTurk rejected three of my HITs that I literally just did. I reached out to them with a question and they never responded but rejected quickly.

Could only review rejections on TO as TV only allows one review per batch and the one I could review was approved. No idea how to alert people to rejections on TV. It shows they have none and I am guessing that was not the case. Wish I had passed on this batch.

No coffee. I drink tea. Usually a black tea blend.

I drink coffee in the morning--or whenever I wake up, which is very variable. And hot tea in the afternoon--or sweet iced tea in the summer. I preference for tea is Assam teas. Learned about India tea on an Indian ship---which is a whole 'nother story.

I make Folger's Simply Smooth in a French Press, because it's less acidic. It's pretty good straight.

I don't understand the hate on instant TBH. Just like other coffee, there's trash, and there's good stuff. Just taste them and buy what you can drink. Hell, we use a "generic" in this house b/c it isn't disgusting.
It's not like, fake coffee or anything. It's just freeze-dried.

When the price would go up on coffee when I was a kid, my dad would drink Postum. It tastes like liquid paper.
