Yeah, because its not as dangerous to play as, say, the NFL, they aren't as strict about the rules. No one is suing the NBA over concussions, so they let their refs be a little looser with the rules.

Say what you will, but this series is usually the best game of the playoffs every year. Look how close it was despite everything. Houston, because of their play style, can beat pretty much any team in the league, but also, that means that when they're off, they can lose pretty bad too.

That wouldn't work that well, cause the defenders don't usually jump till after Harden has left his feet. Which makes it more obvious it was a foul, but yeah.
