Return the HIT or refresh the HIT... They don't give credit for waiting and they don't give credit if the associate disconnect because you are slow to respond...

Now you see why I said "yes and no" to the earlier question about whether or not they are worth it?

Yeah, worst part is that it doesn't even make a sound when they message you, so you don't know when they will message and you'll have to constantly be on the page, or keep checking every 30 seconds, even when they take like 5 minutes to respond.

Good! There's a lot of unhelpful bragging on other MTruk associated sites, but not MTC which is why I like it here. Plus, now you have my secrets for success... which basically come down to managing a lot of HITs at once, and patience.

I'm all about the more the merrier. I haven't been doing this as long as most everyone else, but I have figured out there is more than enough to go around. That said, I just smile and shrug when people in my life ask how I make money.

Got a rejection for a hit yesterday that the requester said they made an error on and intended to pull, was going to send an angry letter but decided to sit and wait and let others send angry letters. Rejection is reversed now.
