Return the HIT or refresh the HIT... They don't give credit for waiting and they don't give credit if the associate disconnect because you are slow to respond...

That's the message when they disconnect, and unfortunately you cannot continue. You don't need to return the HIT but cannot submit it, so you'd need to refresh and wait for another associate to connect.

That happens usually if you don't respond quickly enough...

They left even AFTER I typed something.

...although, sometimes they do just disconnect randomly, which sucks. That's what makes me pretty sure these associates we're chatting with are just a bunch of university undergrads doing this for research credit, and when they have to leave for class then they just disconnect.
