I spent over 4 hours on that thing last night before calling it quits - just ridiculous as far as I'm concerned! A first name and some nearby co-ordinates and I'm supposed to find the house? Props to whoever was able to find it - I wish I knew the secret!

Pretty bummed and it's hard to let go of my failure

I know how you feel. It urks me that I couldn't figure it out. I felt like I was so close but not.... I finally just had to make myself quit because I had spent a least 4 hours already. Since last year when I first tried it I haven't been able to get it out of my head. It's like a magic trick and I want to know how it's done! I mean I thought I knew all the things to look at to figure it out (the one's they give you plus a couple other ways) I'm usually pretty good at that kind of stuff but not this time. Maybe, maybe next year maybe.....Oh yeah I will try it again of course who am I kidding!

Finally caught something good today. $8.50 for 10 mins. Appears to be a new requester though so hopefully I don't get rejected.

If anyone wants to put it in panda: 3GBCJUK5C4SF6ZB00HW54TFD2XWKP1 (I don't know how to export after forum update ? )

Not giving any survey content here. The same steps could be used IRL if you're planning on staying at an Airbnb but want to find out its address and owner's name before you place the reservation...

The location on any Airbnb rental listing is usually within a few hundred yard of the actual location. Therefore, Google Street View is your best friend. If an Airbnb unit has an exterior photo in its profile then it's usually just a matter of carefully advancing along all of the nearby streets via Street View. Features in photos of the yards can sometime be spotted via Satellite view of Google Maps too.

If an Airbnb listing doesn't have exterior photos, then you should look carefully through all of the interior photos for views out their windows towards neighboring homes, then look for those other homes on Google Street View. Sometimes instead of other buildings, you might look for a distinctive landscape or unique tree. Finally, if only interior photos are included in the Airbnb listing, then it's best to look through all of them to find any distinctively shaped windows or doors, and then look for those from Street View. Also, pay attention to the location of the various windows and doors relative to each other, and relative to balconies, stairs cases, and pillars.

The last thing I've found super helpful are the comments left by visitors... Sometimes they provide more detailed clues about the exact location of the rental (e.g. "We could smell the amazing aromas from Giovanni's down the street" Note: not at all related to the recent qual HIT) or the real owner's identity (e.g. "Gina [the host] and her husband, Xavier [property owner], suggested we visit his art gallery on Pleasant Ave." [Now Google search Art gallery, Pleasant Ave., Xavier...])

If not knowing the answer continues to keep you up at night, then you can message me directly and after they close the first round qual I can walk you through it.

Well, not to take away from your excellent advice and suggestions, but...... now my feeling of freedom after returning this qual has turned into regret....

Last minute edit: making a white Russian, soon I won't care, I'll be fine!

IMO, it was harder than the last few tests I've seen. Don't stress over this one, but I would give it another try next time they post the qual test.
