Because from the Instacart transactions I've seen happen in my local grocery store, there's a specific form of payment you use as an Instacart shopper that cashiers seem to need to be able to handle in a certain way.
Thanks for the insight. I've always wondered why there had to be official partnerships between the major food delivery companies and restaurants rather than these food delivery companies simply buy food as a "customer" and then deliver it.

Let me know if you find any of these, or anything else you find, reasonable price wise and they do deliver to where you are. So far I’ve been shocked by most of the prices when you add the shipping. You know Blue Apron, etc. deliver ‘meal kits’ that include whatever produce you need for each meal. They ship anywhere.
Will do!!!!!!

The biggest problem with that idea is I can't imagine how someone would make any kind of money on that.
you think it's too expensive or...? I could see making money from marking up the groceries you buy and a markup on the delivery part. Maybe if people don't think $30 is worth an hour delivery you have a point.

I suppose you could batch orders and establish a delivery day for those orders so you could grocery shop for multiple orders and deliver to many rural households on the same delivery trip and make those markups add up.

have you seen an X-Men movie in the past 5-7 years? maybe more?
it breaks my heart to say this, but god except for (so I hear) Logan they're so bad. whereas the worst movies with Avengers in them are no worse than middling.
I thought Days of Future Past was pretty enjoyable. :incog:

He can stop after the first six SW...
and ALL LotR. I might even make him read all the books.
...you're going to make him watch the prequels? I didn't realize he was a war criminal.
(he should definitely read the LoTR books though, that's edification that everyone doesn't know they need)

I'm trying to imagine what the markup would be to make it worthwhile. You charge 30 dollars to deliver an hour away. That ends up being 15 dollars an hour, not counting the shopping time. People living in a rural area who are willing to pay a premium to have groceries delivered will probably want a significant amount of food, and I think that would eliminate or lessen doing multiple customers in one go. Eliminating volume from the experience kinda kills the gig economy that would make this work.

After he reads the books and watches the extended versions of all the movies, he can write a report on why Tolkien’s universe is the best.

Maybe I do! You're not the boss of me.
dude I'm just saying my friends made me stop talking about Batman actual years ago, and like I said upthread I started watching animated X-Men and Batman at about the same time in my life so my opinions about both are similarly strong, that's all
