but you do technically have volcanoes and cannnn have earthquakes. I've looked at the PNW. The eastern parts of oregon and washington state are so cheap to keep horses (compared to here) and there are shittons of recreation jobs for my field. way more than here.
...you know, good point, I'd completely forgotten that Mt. St. Helens was a thing. I think that in and of itself should tell you something, though? It's erupted once in our grandparents' lifetimes iirc, it's not exactly Kilauea over here.
There is the very, very, very occasional (once a decade maybe?) tiiiiny earthquake, but it's the sort of thing where you wake up in the middle of the night and think "wtf?" and roll over and go back to sleep, and in the morning you maybe wake up to find a mug on its side or something. Not exactly dangerous.

I grew up in eastern Washington and I seriously fucking hate it, but if you don't have the bad associations with it - it *is* cheap, so is eastern Oregon, and I imagine you're most likely right about the recreation jobs.

An infinite variety.

Also paint helps.

Why is it so slow today? :( I been noticing that Mondays usually stink and then it gets busy on Tuesday.
I hope it gets busy tomorrow. That does seem to be happening recently. Wild guess everyone making content goofs off on Friday and spends Monday trying to get back into focus.

Never buy a car made on Monday or Friday, they used to say.

They are, though I don't have any. Plenty of people on here does though.
How do we go about finding closed qualifications? Someone once told me that pressing the qual button rarely gets you the qualifications that you have to actively search for Qualification HITS to get them. Is this true?

Gargantuan blind luck and being here 24/7.

I have a couple they just don't come up very often. There have been a few that seem to be pretty regular and some people have been gathering them for years, so if you have 8-10 good ones then on any given day you probably have something to do.

Also masters. I mean you still have to work, it's not magic, there's just a little bit more available at any given time.

Edit: Yes pressing the button does not do much. It's being around and seeing the qualification, some you can kind of predict and have watchers set up, but you can also miss them and they may be one or two times a year.

my ex just hightailed it to oregon lol. Bend Oregon is like, the recreation capitol of the world.

I have a friend who moved there from Arizona and lovessss it. She used to live on columbia river gorge and moved further north into washington state. the small horse farm she rented she could go trail riding around the gorge from her backyard and she wasn't spending a ton of money, and she did that on a single income. That's a joke where i live.

Just keep your eyes open for them. Some requesters post their qual HITs a few times a year whenever they feel they need more workers. You almost have to be on non-stop and hope someone mentions one if they pop up.

What is the qual button
When you click on a hit and you aren't qualified ... Click on the requesters name in HF or HS, or HF or whatever it is your using and it will bring up a button that says "qual" if it has open qualifications. But I was told it is very rare that anyone comes across qualifications like that which seems to be the case because a while back I went on a Qualification spree and they are mostly (if not all) still pending on my dash
