well, another quart of berries washed and in the freezer. I don't know much more of this I can do. I have about 10 quarts right now

(almost time to head on over to the CSA and work there!)

I meant to ask you why the pre-freeze (freezing on a cookie sheet before you put them in a more permanent freezer bag untl you consume them).

Since you aren't able to flash-freeze them, wouldn't the berries be the same quality just by putting them in your permanent freezer bag directly instead of that intermediate cookie sheet step?

It keeps them from freezing together in the bag.

I've never done it this way before. I'm following all of the internet advice I'm getting. So, I have no idea.......but I hope it works out okay
