congratulations! The lag is so bad I"m getting auto logged out of Mturk before the vicky submits. (seriously, it happened once to me a few mins ago - luckily the vicky had enough timer left I was able to log back in and re-do it and get it successfully submitted).

Today is Amazon Prime Day. Anyone shopping?

I use price alerts for my discretionary want items and for the third year in a row Prime Day is here and no alerts have come in to tell me the item has met the price I'm willing to pay for it.

Black Friday to Christmas is still the best time to buy on Amazon as that's when the items in my list seem to be at their best prices when you look over the price history of those items.

reminds me of a few weeks ago at the grocery store. Someone who looked like a normal customer was taking pictures of bread items and the UPC code with their smartphone. I didn't inquire to that person what was going on, but I couldn't help but wonder to myself if there was a Mturk task that the person was collecting data to submit.

What $50 HITs are you even talking about? Now i'm under the impression that you're imagining them. HITs like that tend to be one offs and only one turker out of thousands online accepts it (only to return it because it probably sucks.)
