I've been turking too long.

My personal mturk experience is I'll be able to grind hard, make a decent amount, get burnt out, take a break, come back and grind not quite as hard and get burnt out a little faster. Rinse and repeat.
Yeah i can definitely see that. Next year i'm planning on taking one "weekend trip" every month whether its just camping or a festival to have something to look forward to fairly frequently (and of course get a weekend away from turking).

Awesome! My YTD is around 6800 and I started on Jan 2nd. Pretty proud of what I got so far 9 months in. Would love to get to these numbers tho. How much time do you put in a day and is it closed qual stuff most of the time?
I have a decent amount of closed quals but there is some that i am lacking still. And as far as how much time, I generally put all the time into it, from the time i get up until the time i go to sleep. Except for when i'm making food or taking a half hour walk in the park which i try to do daily.

*edit* except weekends, i do to go friend's houses on weekends. gotta get away sometimes heh

This used to be me but I've been more consistent since 2018.
Never push myself too hard which means I don't take breaks anymore since I'm not getting burned out.
'cept that beach vacation we took in July.

So my favorite requester of all time was OCMP8.

Would post small batches throughout the day. Very few people had the quals.

I was a noob when I got the quals, and what infuriates me is that it took me like a year to realize just how good they were. I would just ignore them. SO MUCH MONEY LOST.

Why was this requester such a favorite for you?

Me: I'm a requester and I wanna be everybody's favorite. :)

It was batch work (not a survey -- a small task in which you could do several in a row.) They paid well. The work was behind a closed qualification that only like 15 people had, so there was little competition for the work. And most importantly they posted consistently, almost every day, for several years.

Pay me $30/hr to press 1 or 2 on my keyboard.

Real answer: Pay honest wage, $12/hr and above. Be responsive, if you post a batch watch your email because unless it's simple people are likely going to have questions. Be fair with rejections. Use a disqualification instead of blocking people if you don't like their work quality (unless they are outright scammers)

Don't pay sub-par wages and be communicative. (Which you probably will be because you're here! :) )
Here's what I learned today:
- Create a batch, let someone auto-accept the next HIT, and keep the HIT small
- Pay what TWorkers expect is fair
- Qualifications matter
- Post daily if possible
- Watch for correspondence from Workers
- Be cautious with rejections and block only scammers
- This particular forum is active and is where I can get good answers.

very few turkers want to do a bad job. People really do try hard to do the right thing. If you communicate well, give clear instructions (perhaps pilot your instructions, folks will give you feedback and you can see if they are meeting your expectations - or getting confused) - it will go well. Good luck!

The $1.80 Andrea Kähr is like HIT Time: 10 mins, bubble hell, but instant approval.
