very few turkers want to do a bad job. People really do try hard to do the right thing. If you communicate well, give clear instructions (perhaps pilot your instructions, folks will give you feedback and you can see if they are meeting your expectations - or getting confused) - it will go well. Good luck!
"Pilot your instructions" -- what is this?
What can people tell me about instructions?

Do requesters ask about the tasks they're creating?
Do these requesters stick around and show improvement?
Who has experience with a requester like that?

I don't know what kind of batch you are going to release. Or is it a survey.
We've had people come here and ask questions about how to word things. I've also seen requester release a very small batch to see how it was going. You can tell pretty quickly, from a small pilot, whether people understand what you are asking or not. It really depends on what you are doing and how complicated (or not complicated) it is.

This used to be me but I've been more consistent since 2018.
Never push myself too hard which means I don't take breaks anymore since I'm not getting burned out.
'cept that beach vacation we took in July.
When you were younger did you worry about becoming a workaholic?

Thanks jan @jan I'm also doing some homework -- by being a Turk Worker -- so I'm learning some things.

I'm not collecting survey data. I'm doing something else. Imagine that Captcha thingy where your login requires you to do something that shows you're not a robot. Think, street signs, store fronts, and squished letters. That kind of thing.

Only humans can fix the stuff that I'm working on.
I'm going for completely non-complicated, and without any opinions.

I think the "Masters" is on the Turk Worker side of things where a requester (me) gets to narrow down who works on my HITs.

The HITs I'm going to create are most likely going to be available for everybody. (I think that's one way to become everybody's favorite requester, no?)

Can you please elaborate about the "annoying crap"?

Sorry I didn't read your all of your post.

When workers get started Turking we are given captcha's to fill out every 35 hits. They are really annoying and they slow us way down on penny batches. When you get masters Amazon takes them out.

Best way is just to pay well. If you pay well a lot can be forgiven, lol.

cb456 @cb456 - if you're talking about when amazon logs you out and you sign in again and you hit unpause, I usually close the window if I remember. I don't think it matters, but I wondered if it would affect PRE's, so I usually do.
