I have a question about approval ratings and I hope it's ok to post here. I'm seeing HITs that I'm not qualified for because my approval rating is less than 99%, but I'm not quite sure how that can be. I have 3,168 HITs approved, 501 pending, and 14 total rejected. I'm pretty sure I did the math correctly and I'm still above 99% but the system says I'm at 96.95%. Can anybody provide some insight for me?

it sounds like 2 things, 1: Sometimes if you have multiple scripts/extensions installed they can conflict and show an incorrect approval rating on your dashboard, if those stats are correct then your approval rating is definitely above 99%, but 2: If a HIT has the qualification approval rating greater than 99%, that actually means you need a 100% approval rating (0 rejections) in order to take it, because MTurk uses dumb rounding

I sent him two emails. Didn't expect a reveral. But I did let him know what he was doing was theft of time for using rejections as a screener.

I contacted Amazon. They said they are investigating it. I doubt they are but I will keep sending messages until they either tell me he's suspended, my rejection was overturned, or they quit responding.

When something like this happens they will send messages to the requester talking about the rejections.
But I believe it's just a form letter that's sent out automatically for requesters with extremely high rejection rates.

They won't suspend him unless he was doing a full on 100% rejection rate.
It's possible that the reason he did overturn a big chunk of rejections the other day was to get Mturk off his ass haha.

But yea nothing we can do about it.
Just gotta accept this as part of the Mturk experience.
