I applied to foster cats/kittens late last night from a local animal shelter last night and I've already been approved! I'm constantly refreshing my inbox to see if they've let me know when I go to orientation and pick up my first kitty!

Almost a month sober...I know that's not a long time, but I feel like my life has turned around. I've never been proud of myself for anything I've done in life, until now. My rock bottom moment was not fun and I was ashamed - but a month later - I do not regret it as I have something I've never had before - love for MYSELF.

My sister did that for a while! It's very rewarding but stinks when you have to give them back! She ended up adopting most of them lol. Her whole life everyone always joked she'd end up being the crazy cat lady...she's got 9 cats now
